This beautiful, pale-blue crystal druze specimen is the mineral Celestite. Named after the Latin word "caelesti," meaning "heavenly," this sky-blue stone has a celestial appearance. Believed to aid in the connection with Angels, particularly Guardian Angels, this stone is often used to bring peace and harmony.
In many cultures, Celestite, also called celestine, is believed to relieve stress and anxiety. It attracts good fortune and purifies the heart. Bringing peace and strength, this stone aids in establishing harmony and balance.
You are viewing photos of the exact specimen available for purchase. This druze's base (also spelled druzy) measures roughly 2" x 1-3/4" and features gorgeous, tranquil blue celestite crystal points emerging from a geode base. This particular specimen is from Madagascar.
An important note about purchasing crystal specimens: The process of mining the specimen and cleaving it into smaller pieces for sale is quite abrasive and will invariably damage, chip, or loosen the crystals. You may find that the crystal points have chips or damage, or that a section of the cluster is white from crushed crystals, or that even smaller crystals may be dislodged from the base. This is normal and to be expected when purchasing any crystal cluster specimen. These pieces are beautiful, but not perfect. We hope you enjoy them just as much as we do, complete with their imperfections.
